If you have an interest in painting this course is the perfect holiday.
With the focus being on individual needs and development, all abilities can
be catered for. Students may work in any medium and will receive at least four
hours tuition per day from Belinda
King.
Painting Course Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Geneva where you will
be met and driven to le Miroir.
Day 2 Painters: Paint in and around
le Miroir
Non Painters: Home day at the chalet with a local walk (guided by Nick)
or golf at a nearby course.
Day 3 Painters and non Painters
a day across the Petit St Bernard Pass to Italy. Painters will have the
Mont Blanc massif as today’s subject. Non painters can visit the beautiful,
historic town of Aosta, with its magnificent Roman and medieval ruins
or visit the hot springs at Pré St Didier.
Day 4 Painters: Paint in and around
one of the local high alpine villages.
Non Painters: High Alpine walk with Nick – with possible visit to
top of Grande Motte Glacier by cable car
Day 5 We drive to one of France’s
most beautiful towns – Annecy, on the shore of the lake of the same name.
Painters: Around the old town or along the lake.
Non Painters: Visit the old town and castle and optional lake cruise.
Swimming in the lake also possible.
Day 6 Painters: Panoramic alpine

Non Painters: Walk in the Vanoise National Park
Day 7 Painters: Paint in and around
le Miroir
Non Painters: Home day at the chalet, local walk or golf at a local
course
Day 8 Return home
We can cater for up to 14 people in conjunction with our sister Chalet
Pecchio. With the south facing aspect and sunny garden of the chalets,
students have a perfect vantage point from which to paint.
Non-painters are equally welcome. The Tarentaise Valley is a wonderful
place to explore with its spectacular alpine scenery.
